Closing commentary:

Corn futures finished the day a penny to 4 cents higher; soybeans ended the day 11 cents higher to a penny lower. Wheat in Chicago closed 2 to 6 higher while Minneapolis gained 11 cents.

Corn futures traded higher today but failed to gain much traction to the upside as the bearish WASDE data continues to cause some push back. US corn is now priced below that of Ukraine and Black Sea feed wheat, and although there were no new export sales announced as of this morning, Mexico and other unknown destinations have made sales in the last week.  Ethanol production continues to ramp up another 54,000 barrels per day to 1.032 million barrels per day. Minor delays in harvest have occurred in the past couple days with rains impacting the central and western Corn Belt and the Upper Midwest, but the forecast ahead promises a return to drier weather and plenty of sun to aid in harvest progress.
